The self-titled debut album from Jonny is available for pre-order at the Merge digital store. It will be released in stores on April 12, 2011. Jonny is the new musical partnership between Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub and Euros Childs of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci.

The Decemberists perform “This Is Why We Fight” from their album The King Is Dead on SiriusXM. Colin Meloy and Chris Funk are joined by Sara Watkins of Nikel Creek fame.
The Blue Effect is based in the Detroit area. All members currently attend my alma mater, Michigan State University. The band has just finished thier newest EP, Wired to Groove, featuring the single “Chiang Mai.” It has been played on Ann Delisi’s Detroit radio program on 101.9 FM.
