True Blood Season Opener feat. Neko Case & Nick Cave

The HBO original series True Blood aired its 4th season premier (“She’s Not There,” episode # 37) on Sunday, June 26th. If you are a fan of True Blood you know that each episode is named after one of the songs that are in that episode. The Zombies originally released “She’s Not There” on their self-titled album from 1965. In this case, “She’s Not There” is a cover performed by the collaboration of Neko Case & Nick Cave. Have a listen to the cover and the original version below.

“Old Man” by Redlight King

Redlight King samples the original “Old Man” by Neil Young in their new single by the same title. Their debut album, Something For The Pain is available on iTunes.

Canadian frontman Mark Kasprzyk used to be known as Kazzer. Now, in Redlight King, he’s just Kaz. Kazzer fame lasted about 3 minutes, therefore, Kaz seems to be doing better this time around with his new project (with nods from Drake and a musical guest spot on Conan and such).

Priory is comprised of Brandon Johnson (vocals, bass), Kyle Dieker (acoustic guitar, keys, bells, falsetto), Rich Preinesberger (drums), and Greg Harpel (lead guitar, bells, keys).

“I was by your side when your hands went cold/ You were by my side when my eyes went closed.” These powerful lyrics are paired with complex instrumentation in the track “Cold Hands.” They illustrate how short life can be as a couple die together in a car crash.
