“Candyfloss” by Jonny

The self-titled debut album from Jonny is available for pre-order at the Merge digital store. It will be released in stores on April 12, 2011. Jonny is the new musical partnership between Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub and Euros Childs of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci.

“Chiang Mai” by The Blue Effect

The Blue Effect is based in the Detroit area. All members currently attend my alma mater, Michigan State University. The band has just finished thier newest EP, Wired to Groove, featuring the single “Chiang Mai.” It has been played on Ann Delisi’s Detroit radio program on 101.9 FM.

“Who Knows, Who Cares” impromptu in France by Local Natives

French music site La Blogothèque’s self-produced Take Away Shows feature exclusive, unedited footage of top indie artists performing in public places. The latest is Local Natives with a rewritten version of “Who Knows, Who Cares” performed near the Palais Royal.

Past footage has captured impromptu performances by artists such as Phoenix, Fleet Foxes, Arcade Fire, St. Vincent, and R.E.M.
