This has to be my pick of the week! The man at the desk in the beginning of this video is French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. Martin Solveig, the male principal in this video, lives in Paris and is a house DJ there. He has four albums but this song is simply a single. It features Martina Sorbara and the rest of the Canadian band Dragonette.

The Lovemakers have released their single, “See What I Wanna See” from their sophomore full-length album Let’s Be Friends. On September 8, 2009 the album will be available on iTunes and it will hit retail on September 15th, 2009. I really like this band photo. I think it’s the floral rug. Marina Diamandis is Marina and the Diamonds, a Welsh artist based in London. Her Crown Jewels EP was released in June 2009 and a debut LP is expected for late 2009 or early 2010. “Obsessions” is off of her debut single Obsessions/Mowgli’s Road.

I previously posted Bat For Lashes’ (aka Natasha Khan) single, “David.” Now I would like to share her debut performance, and recent NPR feature, of “Moon and Moon” on The Culture Show. Natasha’s new album Two Suns was released April 6, 2009.

I posted the lead single from Regina’s new album, Far, a few weeks ago. After having listened to the enitre album several times I wanted to share this lovely tune as well.
