"Love Don’t Live Here" by Lady Antebellum

Ok, I know ya’ll love it when I go country! So, here’s one from the trio Lady Antebellum. This is the second single from the April 15th self-titled debut release. Charles Kelley kinda looks like Josh Turner. Remember singer-songwriter Josh Kelley, married to Grey’s Anatomy’s Katherine Heigl? Yeah, Charles is actually Josh’s younger brother. While I’m at it, the other guy, Dave Haywood, kinda looks like Ringo. Maybe it’s just the beard and sunglasses.

"Gravedigger" by Willie Nelson

Did you know that Willie Nelson has his own version of “Gravedigger”? You did? Where have I been? He released his latest album, Moment of Forever, on January 29th and this is one of the tracks. This is, of course, a cover of the song on Dave Matthews solo debut album, Some Devil, from 2003. If ya’ haven’t seen it here it is by old Mr. Willie Nelson. The guy is not gettin’ any younger.

"The Age of the Understatement" by The Last Shadow Puppets

The Age Of The Understatement is the debut album by The Last Shadow Puppets, featuring Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane of The Rascals. It will be released on April 21st. The first single, also called “The Age of the Understatement,” was released Today! These guys look like brothers, and also like Beatles.

Meet Low vs Diamond

Yes, finally an awesome studio video with low vs diamond!! A little bit of “Heart Attack,” a little bit of “This Is Your Life,” a little bit of “Killer B,” plus some words from lead singer and guitarist, Lucas Field.

Ironically, after posting this today I had to log back in and make this edit to add that I just received the EP LP I’ve been waiting for. The 7″ limited edition that I ordered back in January finally arrived. Yes! Now go and become incredibly famous guys and make me rich one day because I have your first release ever from the UK!

"The Step And The Walk" by The Duke Spirit

Today’s post is The Duke Spirit. I just bought their second album,Neptune. It came out early February but I had just started listening to thier Freshman album, Cuts Across the Land, and thought I should give it some listening to before proceeding to the next. A friend of mine just accepted a job in marketing with Shangri-La Music, which is the indie label that has this band. She said there are only 10 people at the company. Good Luck and Congratulations Lindsey!

JumpStart

I thought I might post a few videos from VH1s JumpStart. This is what I watch when it’s 5 o’clock in the morning and I’m awake and can’t get back to sleep. Anyway, the first one is “Mercy,” the second single off Duffy’s debut album, Rockferry. The next is “Apologize” from the November release, Dreaming Out Loud, by OneRepublic.

I love this next song, “Sorry” by Buckcherry from his album 15, which is just about two years old already. I feel like it’s such an old song but I still love it every time I hear it. I can’t get sick of it. This is the same way I felt about “Everything,” his third single off the same album. I wanted to buy the album for the longest time but never did because, while the first single, “Crazy Bitch,” is a catchy song, I just hate the lyrics.

Finaly, here’s a newer one for ya,’ “Hollywood’s Not America” released April 1st on Ferras’ debut, Aliens and Rainbows.

"That’s What You Get" by Paramore

Here’s another ‘Fueled by Ramen’ for ya’. If you listen to the radio you will now be hearing this single off Paramore’s June 2007 release, Riot! Hayley Williams looks sweet to me. She can belt it out like she’s a tough-girl but she’s just a sweetie. If I didn’t have real red hair I would have her red hair.

"Lonely Day" by Phantom Planet

I’ve been lookin’ for a while to get you a good video from Phantom’s new album, Raise The Dead, releasing next Tuesday. Since I haven’t found any I thought I would post an oldie from 2002’s, The Guest, which also had my favorite song, “One Ray of Sunlight.” You thought I was going to say “California?” That’s a good one too. For those who don’t know, that song has a toned down rerecorded version from 2005, “California 2005.”

I saw these guys last month and, is it just me, or do they look young? I believe they’re all in their late 20’s. Anyway, they have great energy and were very good live. As soon as new videos are available I will post them. In the meantime enjoy “Lonely Day.”

"Where I Stood" by Missy Higgins

This album, On A Clear Night, by Missy Higgins was released a year ago. I came across this song while listening to Pandora today and remembered the video. I went out and bought a hat like the one she’s wearing. It didn’t really do anything for me, I wore it maybe twice.

"Lump Sum" by Bon Iver

Released February 19th, here’s one off Bon Iver’s For Emma, Forever Ago. Alone for months in a cave in Wisconsin, Justin Vernon wrote and recorded the ten tracks that make up this debut album. I’ve been listening to mellow stuff all day long; Ray LaMontagne, Grayson Capps, Jack Johnson, James Morrison, Mason Jennings, a little DMB. Anyway, this prompted me to post a relaxing tune.
