“You Deserve A Song” by Holly Elle

Canadian classically trained singer, Holly Elle, recently released her EP, Leopardess, on iTunes. Leopardess is a smooth R&B blend heavily influenced by pop, seamlessly mixed with sparks of other genres.

Growing up, Elle frequented the music parties held by her parents, where they shared the European folk music of their childhood. They also introduced Elle and her siblings to music from their era such as the Beatles, ABBA and Elton John. Elle grew up in a small town — Chestermere, Alberta, Canada. She moved to Nashville and received a bachelor’s degree in Music Business at Belmont University, while performing several writers’ round nights at local venues.

Elle describes herself as a girl who loves to act silly and have fun, but also has a strong, fierce side.

“Stand Up” by Breanna Lynn

A gifted singer and guitar virtuoso, Breanna Lynn, picked up her first guitar at the age of 9 and began writing her autobiography in songs by the time she was 12 years old. “Above the Norm” by Aaron Childree

Pop singer/songwriter, Aaron Childree, combines a hopeful message, memorable melodies, and an infectious beat. His music has the ability to take you to a place long abandoned by many of today’s popular musicians — a place where poetic lyrics can be set to catchy melodies and pop music can be a meaningful way to unify and inspire.

Currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, Childree has built up a hefty following. He is known for his exceptionally produced YouTube videos of current cover songs as well as several of his own original productions.

Childree’s first single, “Better Than Walking Away” off of his debut EP, was chosen as a finalist in the 2010 International Songwriting Competition, and his song “One Way Street” was a finalist in the 2011 Next Movie Classic song contest.

This year, Childree released an album called Above the Norm. Have a listen to the title track.

“Just Pretend” by Sweetwater and the Satisfaction

Sweetwater and the Satisfaction is the love child of brutally honest lyricist and uniquely powerful singer, Alana Sweetwater, and multi-faceted producer and instrumentalist, Scott Feldman. In 2011, the talented duo meshed their diverse backgrounds into the bold and soulful sound of Sweetwater and the Satisfaction. Recalling the first writing session, both called it “Easy.” The sound they created evokes old soul, mixed with bluesy rock ‘n roll, and the two are painfully dedicated to constantly evolving.

To date, Scott marks producing the Sweetwater and the Satisfaction debut album as his greatest musical accomplishment. Alana proved to be just the compliment he needed to achieve the musical statement he has always envisioned. The band also includes a permanent horn section comprised of Mark Einhorn (Bari & Alto Sax), Mark Manriquez (Trombone), and Michael Dabach (Trumpet). Sweetwater & The Satisfaction marry their heartfelt compositions with explosive lyrics that encompass the intensity of one-night stands, love and heartbreak, to create a modern, yet deeply rooted original sound that has become their signature.

The band is currently promoting a Kickstarter campaign for their new Sophomore album to be released in 2014.

Their debut album, entitled Restating The Question, was released on August 10, 2013. “[Our] songs lyrically serve to motivate people to analyze what they stand for … Everybody is essentially chasing the same things: Love, acceptance and happiness. “September” by Sonali Argade

New York City based singer-songwriter, Sonali Argade, showcased a dynamic mix of sparkling songs in 2012 with her energetic performances and the release of her debut EP, Speechless. The EP served as the introduction to an emerging artist, performer, guitarist and songwriter.

As a multi-instrumentalist, she plays keyboard, drums, bass, and lead guitar. Her music is defined by the accessibility and optimism that mirrors her sunny and upbeat personality.

In fall of 2012, Argade was invited to attend the prestigious Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, housed in New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In December 2012, she and her classmates collaborated to create a viral cover of the famous Rihanna song “Diamonds.” The video garnered the attention of Rihanna herself who invited them to her concert in Newark, where she personally admired and congratulated them on their work.

In summer 2013, Sonali released her most mature project to date, the stand-alone single “September.” All sales through iTunes are being donated to the Smile Train organization.

“Not Into You / A Little Bit in Love” mashup by Side FX

After Side FX‘s 2008 debut album, Contradictions, music bloggers and multiple radio stations across the country sung their praises. Eventually, American Airlines picked up three singles for their in-flight radio. Their second installment, Turning Point, donned stellar production from hit making producers and snagged a position on the College Music Journal charts. Their third album, The Blond Side, leaned more toward the mainstream genre.

The most recent double single EP, Still Spinning, is now available on iTunes. The first track “A Little Bit in Love,” is carried by the airy and sensual tone of front lady, Kim Cameron. The second cut “Not Into You,” is a pleasant departure and contrary from the first single as it speaks to the feeling of not pursuing someone. In addition, the EP contains a mashup of both tracks.

“You’re Killing Me” by Cable Car

A fusion of pop, R&B and rock, Cable Car offers music oozing with passion. Most of their music describes the dark side of being in love. The band gracefully delivers a musical jambalaya of all of the most popular sounds of the last couple decades, while adding a current mainstream twist and their own original style.

Front man, Nathan Mott, grew up intrigued by the limitless singing styles of Ben Harper and Jeff Buckley and incorporated that free style into his own. Guitarist, Jack Turner, contributes his roots in jazz, R&B and blues to give a smooth, rhythmic vibe to the music. Ryan Murphy is at home behind his drum kit as he programs beats, bringing an electric flare to the group.

Influenced by a lot of the local LA talent and major artists, the band has been working diligently to promote their new EP, Ride. The album is equipped with a diverse subject matter inspired by love and relationships.
