“Annabelle Lee” by Sarah Jarosz

As a follow-up to her debut album, Song Up In Her Head, Sarah Jarosz will release Follow Me Down in late May, 2011. As a multi-instrumental bluegrass talent, Sarah accompanies herself with the octave mandolin, the mandolin, the guitar, and the banjo.

A two-song mini-release titled The New 45 is also available, featuring a previously unreleased crowd favorite “Grandma’s Hands” (Bill Withers) and a Jarosz original “My Muse”.

“Codeine” by Jason Isbell

Jason Isbell has written us a story. It goes like this. “There’s one thing I can’t stand. This bar and this cover band—trying to fake their way through ‘Castles Made of Sand’. There’s one thing I can’t take. The sound that a woman makes about five seconds after her heart begins to break. She should be home by now but she ain’t (pause) because one of my friends has taken her in and given her codeine. One of my friends has taken her in and given her codeine. One of my friends has taken her in and given her codeine.” So on and so forth.
